A WARM HEART IN THE CITY
In a society where isolation is more and more common, Bras Ouverts offers places of listening, sharing, mutual aid and encouragement. Each and every one can find the material help necessary for their needs, comfort, and appropriate guidance. The food aid is distributed subject to proof of income or situation. Beneficiaries can be referred by other social organisations or can register directly. The other activities of the charity are open to all.
Charitable income generated by the different activities partly finances the charity.
FOOD AID
Bras Ouverts has been a partner of the Food Bank since it was created, and supplies more than 1000 people each year with food parcels containing groceries, milk, fresh and frozen produce, bread and pastries, fruit and vegetables, baby food and hygenic products.
The distributions are organised once or twice a week depending on the centre.
Emergency help can be provided every day except Sunday.
CHARITY CLOTHING AND FURNITURE
Bras Ouverts’ charitable clothes shops, in Grasse and Vallauris Golfe-Juan, take donations of clothing and shoes for adults, children and babies, as well as household linen.
Bras Ouverts also accepts and collects all kinds of furniture, electrical appliances, crockery, toys and decorative objects in good condition.
These articles are sold at low cost and can be delivered with a small contribution to the cost of transport.

THE BOOK CAFE
In a warm and convivial atmosphere, the Book Café sells second-hand books for all ages.
The Book Café is also a place to exchange, to bond and build projects. The Book Café offers refreshments from 1 Euro: coffee, tea, herbal teas, cappucino, iced coffee, hot chocolate, fruit juice, fizzy drinks, ice creams and homemade cakes…
There is also a special area for tiny tots.
Meet-ups and cultural events open to everybody take place all year round, as well as workshops for children.
CHILDRENS WORKSHOPS
Every Wednesday afternoon, Bras Ouverts welcomes children for help with homework, learning to read, games and crafts followed by a snack.
MUSICAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
At the Book Café, Bras Ouverts regularly organises meetings, philosophical workshops and literary discussions led by writers, as well as concerts by local artists.
Assistance
Bras Ouverts offers personnalised support for its clients in order to identify and together find solutions to their needs.
If necessary, the charity directs them towards appropriate other social organisations and charities.
These services are free and confidential.
How to get help?
Bras Ouverts welcomes you in Vallauris and in Grasse. Please check the opening times of our centres below. Emergency help is available every weekday, even without proof of income.
When registering for food aid only, proof of income will be requested, along with a charitable donation of 2 Euros per parcel of 8 objects. You can also obtain low cost fresh produce and groceries.
